Short Curriculum Vitae

Federica Tubino was born in Genova on October the 28th 1974 and she graduated in Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Genova on July 1999. In 2003 she obtained her Ph.D. discussing the doctoral Thesis "Wind actions on long-span bridges". In the period 2004-2008, she was post-doctoral researcher. Between 2008 and 2016 she was Assistant Professor and since 2016 she is Associate Professor in the scientific and teaching area ICAR/08 at University of Genoa. At present, she teaches Solid Mechanics and Structural Dynamics. She was advisor for many MS candidates. She is member of the Board of the PhD Program in Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering, and she was member of Committees for the PhD awarding. Her research activity is in the field of deterministic and random structural dynamics and wind engineering. The main research interests focus on the Proper Orthogonal Decomposition application for the representation and simulation of random processes, wind field modelling and simulation, aeroelastic instability of structures, human-induced vibrations of footbridges. She is author or co-author of more than 70 papers concerning topics of deterministic and random structural dynamics, wind engineering, human-structure interaction; among these papers, 23 are published in refereed international journals, 2 are book chapters; her publications received more than 500 citations, determining an h-index equal to 14 (Scopus, November 2018). She is reviewer for many international journals and national and international conferences. She took part in several researches supported by MIUR and by University of Genoa. She contributed to many research contracts concerning the analysis of wind actions on structures and the analysis of pedestrian-induced vibrations of footbridges.
